Order of the Arrow Founder’s Award

Order of the Arrow Founder's Award

Last weekend I had the honor of being presented the Order of the Arrow Founder’s Award at the 2014 Lodge Banquet. The Founder’s Award is presented annually to two Arrowmen in our lodge for unselfish service above and beyond their normal duties to their lodge. The back of the medal features a quote from our induction ceremony, “For he who serves his fellows, is, of all his fellows, greatest!”

“Introduced at the 1981 National Order of the Arrow Conference, the Founder’s Award recognizes Arrowmen who have given outstanding service to their lodge. The award is reserved for an Arrowman who demonstrates that he or she personifies the spirit of selfless service, as advocated by founder E. Urner Goodman and cofounder Carroll A. Edson.”

I am very humbled to have been recognized with this award and honored to join a very impressive and short list of the top leaders in our lodge who have been presented this award in the last 30 years.
